Salary cap- bears $6.9 mill under now -how to get harris/hester under

Well a slow news day, so thought would do a thread on the current cap situation, after the robbie Gould signing..( and I know a little long, but want to get all the info and realistic facts out)
..LBTE's not earned $1,700,000
* Unamortized cap hits $9,650,000
salary cap $116,729,000
Room left $12.744 mill
-$5.791 mill( rookie pl)
TOTAL- $6.953 mill left

The next move will be to change olsens $3.45 mill Roster bonus into a Signing bonus, which fres up 2.6 mill in space in 2008, giving bears $9.553 million under cap. With this let's say we want harris/hester also and give uralcher the deal they offered( $18 mill additional $$)..
On harris looking for freeney money, but as a large part of "freeny" money BS with s $20 mill last year cap costs, that will never be paid its really a $50 mill/5 tr deal, and even have my doubts about the $16.6 mill in 2011, making it a $34 mill/4 yr deal or $8.5 mill/yr for a "realistic. avg pay
7/13/2007: Signed a six-year, $72 million contract. The deal included a $15 million signing bonus. 2008: $750,000 (+ $15 million option bonus), 2009: $6.22 million, 2010: $8.825 million, 2011: $11.42 million, 2012: $14.035 million, 2013: Free Agent. Cap charges: $5.75 million (2008), $11.22 million (2009), $13.825 million (2010), $16.642 million (2011), $19.035 million (2012).
tommie kelly's deal is:
/28/2008: Signed seven-year, $50.5 million contract. The deal includes $18.125 million guaranteed. Another $2 million is available through incentives. 2008: $625,000, 2009: $2.5 million, 2010: $4.5 million, 2011: $5.5 million, 2012: $6 million, 2013: $6.5 million, 2014: $7 million, 2015: Free Agent
So we can use these as a "model" for tommie, giving him a $16-18 mill Signing bonus( between kelly and freeney), and a $750,000 salary for 2008( minimum), and a roster bonus in 2009-2010 for a 21 mill guaranteed( this way equal with lance), making his total value $60 mill/6 years( 1/2 way between the other 2 deals)
looks like he gets $16 million this year in bonus)
2008- $2.67 mill amrotized SB+ 750,000= $3.42 mill cap #
2009-$2.67 SB+ 3 mill Salary+ 2mill roster bonus-=$7.67 mill
2010- $2.67 Sb+ 4 mill salary+ 2 mill Roster bonus= $8.67 mill
2011- $2.67 SB + $7 mill salary= $9.67 mill
2012- 2.67 Sb + $8 mill sal= 10.67 mill
2013- $2.67 Sb + $10 mill salary= $12.67 mill = $53.75 total paid
And have another $6.25 in "Performance incentives" to get to $60 million divided over contract

On devin hester its hard because will need to be alot of incentives to reconcile the difference between a top paid Kick returner( $2.5 -3 million) and a top WR( $8 mill).. So being realistic and to protect bears, but give hester growth "if" becomes a legit top WR, the "guranteed portion" needs to equal 3 mill/yr and the incentives should move it to 6 mil+
hester $12 mill guaranteed- $10 mill Sb ,$2 mill roster bonus) and $20 mill over 5 years, with incentives to $35-40 million
2008: 2 mill Sb + 450,000 salary= $2.45 mill
2009 2 mill sb + 1 mill salry+ 2 mill rb= 5 mill
2010 2 mill sb +1 mill salry= 3 mill
2011 2 mill sb= 2 mill salary 4 mill
2012 2 mill s+ 3 mill salary= 5 mill= 20 mill/5 yrs
And each year can have a 1 mill bonus for 50+ catches, 8+ td's( or whateer # decide) 1 mill for 1,000+ yards 1 mill for superbowl to get to $40 million. which makes devein the highest paid kick returner in history( 4 mill+), and "if" becomes a very good WR, makes him depending on hitting levels a $6-7 mill WR.
On urlacher::
Here is how it’s divided:
2008 $3.95 million
2009 $4.95 million
2010 $6.15 million
2011 $7.35 million

The offer the Bears made Urlacher would add $18 million to the existing deal with a one-year extension that would carry through the 2012 season when he would be 34 years old. It would adjust the contract as such:
$5 million signing bonus
2008 $3.95 million base pay plus $1 million play-time bonus*
2009 $4.95 million base pay plus $1 million play-time bonus*
2010 $6.15 million base pay plus $1 million play-time bonus*
2011 $7.35 million base pay plus $1 million play-time bonus*
2012 $9 million base pay

So after all this the cap would look like:
$9.553- $3.42(tommie) -$2.45 mill-2 mill( url)= $1.68 mill under cap for any injuries/ good vet pick up
What do posters think?

how would it help if they do an extension for Hester sort of like Gould since Hester has two years left on his contract. Philly did that with their G Andrews a couple years back and saved big money on the overall deal since it was done earlier.

one thing I know is we will use our cap like we do every season. Im just wondering what kind of timetable JA wants to work with. Cause like with Briggs when he didnt take the offer they gave him they moved on and signed Vasher. At what point does JA say whatever and starts resigning guys like Manning and Anderson.

I still dont think Urlacher deserves a thing. I know he will get it but he doesnt deserve it. Strahan didnt get his and Ray Lewis didnt get his. Just think we need to stay strong on that one

also it looks like we are going to have low cap space again next season so some cuts could happen

Tait
Ogun
not resign M Brown
not resign Grossman

and if Grossman doesnt start this season doesnt his bonus which is figured into this cap get tacked on to next years cap?

looks like we might have a split draft with personnel next season qb, t, s, de

that's actually what I did. hester current Salary is 460,000 so kept that the same.. just have him a larger bomus than robbie got so has a bigger SB hit each year

I think Hester deal will be more 5-6 years 30 mil plus incentives. If that kick returner in houston can get 4mil a year then Hester is worth 5-6 mil a year

Like I said before 54, you can take away a cool mil immediately from that rookie pool when you look at where we are really going to be after three or four of our picks don't make the 53-man. Meaning we sit at closer to 8MM than 7MM.

While I hope that more draftees stick than that, at least now I have something positive to think about when they do get cut.

What, eight or nine rookies isn't enough for you? That would essentially be us cutting our seventh rounders, which is likely IMO, though I would like to see at least Monk make the squad.
