This one is a bit tough to watch, but I had breakfast with a person that knew Walter back in the 80's a couple of weeks ago. I heard many interesting stories. Walter had a home 20 minutes away from mine here in Elgin IL. I drove by the house in South Barrington last week...it is still the only gated house in the city. The city approved exterior security after fans kept stealing his mailboxes and other memorabilia back in the 80's !!!

Walter was Walter... both on and off of the field he was very consistent with his personality, I'll post more as time permits:

Has anyone found a new DVD set that has every game in it's ENTIRETY from the 85' season? I noticed it in the Chicago Tribune last month, but cannot find it for sale on google or any other search engine.
