huh? What?
After much discussion, and not much action, we decided to finally pay attention to these things again.
Here is what was going on....The awards had been a source of controversy for a little while, coupled with a lack of work ethic on our part, and sprinkle in a crappy season, well.......you get here.lol
If we take this endeavor up again, I imagine that there will be some rule changes.
First,
members can only win an award once in a years time.
Nominations will be on a shorter leash (
I'm thinking only open for a week, this should help those of us with ADHD).
Also, we should be a little less inclined as members to just nominate those people who have responded in the thread, but you had forgotten, and then felt guilty, yada, and yada. Therefore,
I am thinking each person can only nominate one member/award/month.
Sound like good rules?
This should prevent the popularity contests, or at least limit them. I think the emphasis was really always on the rookie of the month one anyway.
A vote for Obama is a vote for Communism!!
