CCleaner

CCleaner (Crap Cleaner) is a freeware system optimization tool. That removes unused and temporary files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster, more efficiently and giving you more hard disk space. The best part is that it's fast! (normally taking less that a second to run) and Free.

Cleans the following:
- Internet Explorer: Temporary files, URL history, cookies, index.dat.
- Firefox: Temporary files, URL history, cookies, download history.
- Recycle Bin, Recent Documents, Temporary files and Log files.
- Third-party application temp files and recent file lists (MRUs). Including: Opera, Media Player, eMule, Kazaa, Google Toolbar, Netscape, MS Office, Nero, Adobe Acrobat, WinRAR, WinAce, WinZip and more...
- Advanced Registry scanner to remove unused and old entries (includes backup). Including File Extensions, ActiveX Controls, ClassIDs, ProgIDs, Uninstallers, Shared DLLs, Fonts, Help Files, Application Paths, Icons, Invalid Shortcuts and more...
- This software does NOT contain any Spyware, Adware or Viruses.

What's New in v1.21.130 - [12th July 2005] :
- Moved Tools and Options into the listbar and they now load into the main window rather than a new window.
- Fixed listbar display issue with Japanese characters.
- Added REMOVESELF cleaning parameter to delete folders and not just empty them.
- Added cleaning for: Google Earth, Ad-Aware SE Plus, Photoshop CS and CS2, Microsoft AntiSpyware, PerfectDisk 7.0, Azureus.
- Updated cleaning for: Windows log files, Real Player, Adobe Reader 7.0, SpyBot Search and Destroy.
- Updated Swedish, Spanish and French translations.
- Minor display fix to the Applications tree.
- Minor interface tweaks.

I use CC Cleaner all the time. It's not the same as regclean. Does an excellent job in taking the crap out of your system. Very customizable as well.

I would recommend it highly.

Window washer is good for getting rid of your tracks. I use Eraser because it's free . It's not updated anymore but the last version works great for gov't level deleting (7 passes). You could also set it up for 35 passes if you want (but it takes forever to erase).

Here is a link if anyone is interested: http://www.tolvanen.com/eraser/
