We have noticed an increase in the amount of members logging into other member's account. (Yes we can track this)
It started off pretty slow. We'd get one alert every few weeks. Now we are getting members who seem to be sharing their account on a weekly basis.
I'm not sure whether member's know that their account is being logged into but the other members or not. I can only assume that a member gives out their password, so another can help them.
However, I would change your password, after this. We are getting member's who seem to have multiple accounts, or they are logging into other member's accounts.
While you may think this is ok, as you have nothing on your account, it's not advised to give out your password. Chances are, you; like most members, use the same password for multiple sites. So one could easily access other secured sites you visit.
Also, while it's great a person can help you out know, like human nature, terms of a friendship can change. You don't want anyone messing with your account if such a thing happens.
Changing your password is simple. Go to your USERCP... there's a link on the left side.
I'm glad you spoke out about this, Ski, because I've noticed something odd going on with multiple usernames and such. It's probably used mostly for polls or the sig contests, one person using multiple accounts to vote for the same person, etc. It's cheating imo and unnecessary.

Benji honey if I am reading this right and not sure if I am one only knows how goofy I can be but I use my computer at work which I am on now and the one at home....I don't think anyone has my name and pw because I would kick someone in the ass! Besides why have multiple user names that is just so wrong in so many ways and so unfair to the people that play fair
me and my brother have separate accounts I use 5 different computers and I dont know if my bro ever uses the computers at school. We do have each others passwords but we dont go on each others names. At least I dont think so. The other day I forgot to sign off when I left work and when I got home still used the site dont know how that effects things.
well lets see I have logged in as phin to read him his pm's over the phone while he was on the phone with me, I also go over to colts an cubs house an use his computer an he well comes over to my house since we are friends an live next door to each other, I also have at times had to log in as sassy to change her sig's because well she has issues doing so...
If me doing this is a issue I will stop, Phin is a friend of mine an since he can only get on a computer ever once in a while he asked me to keep an eye out for his pm's....
Mo, CB1223 & The Benjamin - you have not had issues w/ this. (well, mo, you had one w/ your brother a long time ago when he first signed up for the site).
Rexellent and I have discussed this previously, as I have w/ your family members. We are good to go.

We get alerts that get sent to us, when more than one member uses the same computer. So if everyone in your house were to log in and browse using different accounts, we would get an alert.
What we have noticed is this happening more and more.
I'm not sure whether members know this to be happening to their account.
I just basically want people to know, that we can see them log in as another user. Also members should be weary of giving out their passwords.
I'm pretty sure that if we find members to be padding poll's with multple accounts, we will remove the voting ability for all parties. This isn't fair, and really takes away from other member's hard work. While this is harsh, it goes to show that we won't allow for cheating.
So be sure, if you have given out your password, you might want to change it to make sure.
Lastly, we do notice when people vote, vice how much they post. Right now, we don't limit voting rights based on post counts. We can if needed though.
