Nice pics 4th, very nice. Almost felt like I was there. I watched on TV. Can't get many Hawk games out here unless they're playing the Avs so that was a nice way to spend a snowy Sunday afternoon.

Toews, Kane, and Sharp on one line, woooooohoooo. In another year they'll be tearing up the league if they can stay healthy. Barker and Wisniewski impressed me too.

Hawks Sign Seabrook To 3-Year Extension

General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Blackhawks have extended the contract of Brent Seabrook for the next three years.

“Brent Seabrook is one of our core players and we feel he has a brilliant future,” said General Manager Dale Tallon. “Seabrook is a big part of our team and one of our team leaders. He is going to be a major part of our success for many years to come.”

“I’m excited about continuing my career with the Blackhawks,” said Seabrook. “I love the city of Chicago and really enjoy playing for our great fans. Yesterday’s game was an outstanding atmosphere and our team really appreciates the support of our fans.”

Seabrook, 22, was the Blackhawks’ 1st round pick (14th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. This season, he has appeared in 58 games with 7 goals and 12 assists for 19 points with 52 penalty minutes and a +12 rating. In his NHL career, Seabrook has played in 208 games with 16 goals and 59 assists for 75 points and 216 penalty minutes

I sat 16 rows from the glass and about 30 feet from the center of the ice rink. Later tonight I post another 20-30 pictures. It is great news on seeing seabrook being signed to an extension. D. Keith is another player they need to keep for a long time.

The rumors increased on the possibilities of the New Jersey Devils obtaining either Robert Lang or Martin Havlat from the Chicago Blackhawks according to the New York Post. Neither player would be considered a rental.

I hope we don't trade Havlat

Who did you murder to get those seats? Those are some top of the line seat my friend. I'm envious. I'm used to the organ loft specials in the old stadium. Av's tix are so expensive that I just can't see spending so much on a team I don't really case that much about.

I'll look forward to more pics.

There were 80 dollar tickets. My older brother actually bought them for me and I payed for the food and gas and parking. I slightly came a head of the entire deal. Each year we go to a hockey game instead of buying christmas presents for each other.

Hi J,

When we vacationed in Chicago back in Dec '06, we were due to catch a Hawks game (vs the Blues), but a snowstorm delayed our flight so we missed the game by a few hours. At least the weather didn't stop us seeing the Bears and Bulls in the next couple of days.

So, the Hawks and the Cubs are still on our wishlist, as are a hell of a lot more Bears games. :bearbang[

ISP is still dragging it's heels BTW.

Nite all!
