Why root for favre if he played for the bears? He would be the biggest distraction on the team with his constant new conferences of playing for the bears.

Ab-so-luckin-futely!
If the Bears signed Favre I would no doubt support him just as I would any other Bear. I would have to say that anyone who wouldn't is neither a true Bears fan or just doesn't understand what it means to be a Bears fan. WIN OR LOSE - or any other way, I have always been and will always be a Bears fan. I sure as hell don't agree with the player picks the team makes all of the time, but who in their right mind would not want a REAL quarterback just because he used to sleep with the enemy!?>!?!? Get real Bears fan. If you would really have a hard time supporting Favre just because he used to be a pecker, then I'd have to question whether you are a real fan. Look at what we've had for choices the last few years. Have you not been behind your team even when you wanted to strangle the assholes throwing interceptions or fumbling the football? Hell yes I am a real Bears fan and I sure as hell would welcome a quarterback that can throw the football to the team.
I have always hated the Packers. I will always hate the Packers. I even have a user account on their website just to talk smack to them. But if any of their players were traded over to the Bears, I would consider them Bears and would root for them just like every player that came from any other team because I AM A BEARS FAN!

Reason: Because The Packers Suck
Why do people feel that you have to support every single player on your team? Just because you do not like a player does not mean you have to support them. I supported Benson until his second DUI. After that I was tired of hearing about him making the news in a negative way. I hated Kordel Stewart when the bears brought him in. I was wondering why are we being punished with garbage qbs? When we signed Jeff George I thought the end of the world was coming since that POS was on our team. I am tired of the news media talking about why we can't draft a qb. I think Orton or Grossman are ok for what we have. We could waste 50+million on a rookie (Falcons or 49rs) or deal with what we have for a much smaller price tag.
What kills me about people wanting favre on our team is the fact he is not even close to being the qb he use to be. He still make some of the dumbest decisions as a qb. I would think a future HOF qb would play better than he has over the last decade but he doesn't. The media enshrines hims over his accomplishments yet has a blind eye towards his disasters. Unless he is playing the seahawks in the playoffs he gets his ass owned by the other team. He is one of the luckiest qbs to play the game but when it comes to playing a team with a good defense or winning record he self destructs. Last year the bears kicked his ass and in the first game the packers were killing up but then Brett threw a pass to Urlacher and that was the turning point of the game. During the cowboys game he got his ass kicked and I still believe he faked his injury to get out of that game. I hate the fact it has been 5 years now of hearing about his retirement talk. He is a media whore who has to live in the spot light and that is something the bears do not need.
On a closing note would any bears fan support Leonard Little if he became a chicago bear?

I know it's a touchy subject...and I love dogs as much as the next person. Yet here we have a number of players currently active in the NFL which have committed crimes against human beings. This is probably another moot point b/c only a handful of teams will consider signing Vick anyways(too much public backlash).
However, we all know that someone will give Vick a second chance. Time allows fans to forgive/forget...and I feel that Vick could succeed in our offensive scheme.
The following is from Wikipedia:
The prospects of Vick returning to play professional football were the subject of much conjecture after his suspension. The most serious obstacles are clearly the length of imprisonment and possible impact of probationary restrictions afterward. Assuming he gets time off for good behavior, Vick's earliest release date would be between May and October 2009, according to one of his attorneys. That would make his return to play possible as soon as the 2009 season if all other factors were favorable. [13] Missing two full seasons and the physical regimen is a serious disruption in a career, but it is not impossible that he could successfully return to play at that point. However, it is likely that teams considering him at that time will want to look at Vick at other positions. "I am not sure they would bring him back as a quarterback", stated one senior NFL analyst. [13]
However, the May–October 2009 estimate is based upon assuming that Virginia does not impose any additional prison time even if he is convicted of one or both of the still-pending felony counts when he is tried in Surry Circuit Court on June 27, 2008 on charges that could theoretically result in an additional ten years in state prison in addition to his federal sentence.[14] Any additional prison time added by Virginia, of which a maximum of ten years is possible, which would lengthen his time away from the NFL would substantially reduce the likelihood of a successful return, even in a different position than as quarterback. In the most extreme case of a maximum sentence, Vick would be 39 years old by release, since the Virginia laws have no provisions for parole[15].
Even without these factors to consider, it is possible that few general managers would be willing to offer Vick another chance in the NFL, out of fear of a public relations backlash. ESPN's John Clayton said that only a few entrenched general managers would be willing to take such a risk, and even then few owners would sign off on it. Clayton also said that it is unlikely that he would be able to play in the Canadian Football League, as it is nearly impossible for a convicted felon to get a Canadian work visa. Clayton did speculate that Vick would most likely play in the Arena Football League. In a interview on April 2, 2008 with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Falcon's owner Arthur Blank, stated he would like to see Michael play in the NFL again. He also stated he would not rule out welcoming Michael Vick back to the team.
He is a real piece of dung. And I would lose all respect for the BEARS organization if they brought him to Chicago to be anything other then on his knees, in a pit-bull costume at the end of a leash being walked around at halftime by Staley.
I can't stand Farve so would hope for him to have a season ending injury on the first play. He would not do the team any good since he thinks only of himself and padding his stats.
