Im not a fan of the C. The team, coach and fans all know who each teams Caps are. I don't think we need to broadcast it. Anyway I don't think it looks good on the jersey.

I dunno, i like it. Gives them special recognition, and apprantly the players wanted more responsibilities for their captains as being true leaders of their team, and being liasons between the players coaches and management, so im all for it. Just another way to distinguish the role models and leaders for each team, for those not acquainted with every team's captains

I can only hope that they one's wearing the C are truely role models.

When I see the C on a uniform one guy comes to mind and that is Steve Yzerman of the Red Wings. This guy I believe was the captain for 20 years on his team.

I like the idea, but not the execution. That thing looks like it was stolen from a Mac store's sign. Doesn't match anyone's font, but maybe that was the point.
As i've already stated....it was the PLAYERS who wanted it.
The players approached Goodell apparently this off season and said they wanted more responsibilities/recognition for their team captains then just calling "heads or tails" before the game. So it has nothing to do with selling more jerseys, and more to do with what the PLAYERS wanted
