| | | I would question Lovie if he does not make a move. His credibility is at stake from this point forward. I can't fathom what justification he could have for not making a move.

| | | I have also given up... and so should Lovie Smith.. not because Rex Grossman is a piece or crap, is an idiot, or anything like that.. but let's all ADMIT IT: Rex Grossman does not have what it takes to be an NFL QB.. he's at best a solid Canadian league or AFL player.. he does not have the skills to perform at this level... I think he's a nice guy, he good with the media and a good guy to have around the clubouse, but he just doesn't have NFL talent.
It's making the coaching staff, city of Chicago and most importantly, REX GROSSMAN look bad.. |

| | | I had high hopes that somehow Rex could straighten his act up during training but he has shown he has learned nothing from last year's mistakes but he keeps making them over and over and over. I hope that Lovie finally has the guts to bench him and go with either Griese or Orton. I have completely lost all faith in Rex and as far as I'm concernd he should pack his bags and get out of Chicago ASAP

| | | I'm still waiting for someone to acknowledge the fact that Brian Griese held the starting spot in TB and Denver and couldn't do shit. Then he comes here as a backup and plays badly when he gets the ball. What does that tell you?

| | | Granted yes, he didn't stay in TB or Denver. However, following the Lovie Smith line of thinking, let's give Griese more than one game or one quarter before we cast him aside. They have sure as heck given Grossman enough tries.
What's good for one, is good for the other two.

| | | Enough is enough! Rex had his chance to come out this season and show he is the man for the job. Well, three games in, at any other job, you'd be fired. Insteawe get Lovie saying Rex is our quarterback. Over and over. Give me a good reason why! HIs press conference today at 3 PM better be good. It's time to let go of this Angelo!!! Put his ass on the bench Lovie! Green Bay is going to kick our ass! Do they think we can compete with Indy, New England, or any AFC team with out offense? Time for a change. Oh, and not all the blame to him, Moose you want to run your routes and can everyone work on catching the ball!!!

| | | A 45 QB rating after 3 games. Hmmmm........ how can we collectively continue to support him? I officially threw in the towel last night.
I am curious as to why nobody has mentioned Matt Leinart and his game. Are you aware that he was pulled from the game when he started his downslide? Not once but twice he was pulled. I think our coaching staff needs to stand up and say, "Rex until you can prove yourself, you are on the bench." End of story!!! |

No, it's not that he didn't stay. He sucked. Not to mention the fact that he's done the exact same thing as Rex while he has played, minus the big plays. He's turned the ball over almost every time he's touched it in a regular season game. There's a REASON why he didn't start last year, even though he was the vet. There's a REASON why he's not starting this year, even though he's still the vet. Until the Chicago Bears have another viable option to put behind the center, Grossman is my guy. Think of it this way, Rex is the first Bears QB in 11 years to start at least 19 consecutive games.
I suppose you'd prefer Moses Moreno out there? Craig Krenzel anyone? I mean when you really sit back and think about it, Grossman is the best QB the Bears have had in years. That might not be what some of you want to hear, but it doesn't change the facts. The Bears' best chance of winning a game is with Rex Grossman on the field. At least on offense.
