There is also the lack of leg strength on kick off's, how many touchback's does he have; let me guess 1 also?
Don't get me wrong I like Gould, I just don't think he deserves to be the highest paid kicker, ecspecially when we could use that money on Hester and Harris. |
he isnt the highest paid kicker when done by yearly average.
Elam, the buff. kicker and viniterri all make more and think he and sea-bass in raiders close on per yr contract.. and i'lladd of that 15.5 we dont know how much is "incentives" he may neer see which again "could" make his deal only 12 mill or 2 mill/yr if he doesn't hit teh incentives( which haven't been released yet)
FWIW other top kicker deals:
1. Gould deal is $16 mill/6trs( keeps 2008 same) so its 16 mill/yrs or 2.67/yr
Josh Brown’s five-year contract with the Rams makes him one of the highest-paid kickers in the NFL. Brown’s deal is worth $14.2 million, including a $4 million signing bonus., whiich is more at $2.84 mill/yr
According to NFL Players Association figures, the two highest-paid kickers in terms of 2007 salary cap count were Buffalo’s Rian Lindell ($3.26 million) and Denver’s Jason Elam ($3.03 million).
